If a picture is worth a thousand words, your dog-boarding friends at Tradewinds have a heart-warming and motivating video for you.
In a recent blog, we shared a story about research – how owning a dog can reduce the risk of death. We called it “A Dog Could Be Just What the Doctor Ordered.” Good info, but research stories might lack the excitement you’re looking for.
Then we came across a CNN story about a guy whose doctor DID order a dog. She prescribed a diet plan and the rescue of a shelter dog, and the patient dropped 155 pounds – from 340 to 185 – in 10 months. Not only that, but there’s a great video with canines in some of the major starring roles.
Peety helped Eric O’Grey get in shape, and when Peety died, a new rescue came to his rescue. They even run half-marathons together. Check it out, and if you have a second, let us know what you think.
