The AKC has released its list of most popular dogs in the U.S. and in several specific cities. In Honolulu, German Shepherds are in the #2 spot, followed by Shibu Inus, Chihuahuas and Golden Retrievers. And holding the coveted position of Most Favorite BFF — Labrador Retrievers!! Nationally, German Shepherds are #2 followed by Yorkshire Terriers, Beagles and Golden Retrievers. And #1 nationally? You guessed it. Labrador Retrievers!

Sweet. Having just moved to the Hawaiian Islands I’ve managed to bring with me the #1 dog… my Yellow Lab. Along with her comes my much less common dog, a Weimaraner. She digs the sun though.
